Matte Finish for Shinko CHC-S2145
Somerset, NJ, January 2008 - Kanematsu USA's Digital Imaging Group (KG Digital) announces the addition of matte finish to its Shinko CHC-S2145 Digital Photo Printer. The Shinko CHC-S2145 Digital Photo Printer is one of the fastest 6 Inch dye sublimation printers, now at 6.8 seconds per 6"x4" borderless prints.
The Shinko CHC-S2145 combines high-speed, high quality and high capacity in a front-loading clamshell design. The unique design makes loading media and servicing easy while providing a straight paper path, which virtually eliminates jams.
Now the CHC-S2145 , as well the CHC-S1245, two time winner of the DIMA Shoot-Out, offers matte finish capability. The most exciting part of this announcement is that the matte finish functionality can be implemented by loading a new driver and firmware. At 6.8 second for 4x6 the CHC-S2145 is ideal for kiosk applications producing borderless 4x6 prints or event photographers producing 5x7 and 6x9 prints. With a capacity of 700 prints per roll the CHC-S1245 is one of the highest capacity printers available.
The CHC-S2145 is available through KG Digital's nationwide network of authorized distributors and system integrators. Existing customers can upgrade their printer to produce matte finish prints by downloading new firmware and driver from www.kgdigital.com.
The newest update from Shinko's CHC-S2145 printer firmware and driver offers many improvements, which include:
1. Adjustable level of matte finish that can be selected by the operator
2. Printing modes can be selected from the printer's LCD or with the driver
3. Printers in the field can be upgraded to produce this matte finish
4. Shinko's current media can be used for glossy or matte finish output
5. Now even faster 4x6, 5x7 and 6x9 printing:
4x6 - standard mode: 6.8 seconds, fine mode 8 seconds
5x7 - standard mode: 10.4 seconds, fine mode: 12.9 seconds
6x9 - standard mode: 13.2 seconds, fine mode: 15.9 seconds
